The role of the Teller (Customer Service Representative) is to provide outstanding service while accurately performing account transactions. Position uses knowledge of bank products and services to effectively cross-sell online banking services and to refer customers to other bank products. Promotes increased customer use of bank products and services to enhance customer satisfaction. Position complies with all banking laws and regulations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processing Transactions: Complete customer transactions in a timely and accurate manner, while exhibiting patience, attention to detail, and in accordance with guidelines and procedures. Perform other duties related to handling money/transactions including, but not limited to, completing daily branch capture work on an accurate and timely basis, operating coin machine, etc.
Balancing and Accuracy: Maintain accurate cash drawer and cash/negotiable instruments are in balance. Maintain appropriate cash limits in drawer. Transactions are processed completely and with accuracy. This includes, but is not limited to, deposits and withdrawals, Currency Transactions Reports, cash advances on credit cards, and foreign currency and checks.
Products and Service: Use knowledge of bank products and services to effectively cross-sell appropriate products and services to customers by referring to appropriate team members. Actively participate in bank promotional activities.
High school degree or GED.
Experience providing excellent customer service.
Cash handling experience; bank experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects and related equipment; continually reach with hands and arms; talk; and hear. The employee must routinely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Distance vision is required in order to observe persons in the lobby and remain aware of what is happening at all times. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
WORKING CONDITIONS:Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.
MENTAL AND/OR EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be able to use basic math skills and spell accurately up to a high school graduate level. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. COMPENSATION:Position is part-time, 30 hours/week, working 12 noon- 6 p.m., M-F and some Saturday's 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Applicants must be available to work between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 6:15 p.m., M-F, and be available to work Saturdays.
