At Company, the Risk Analyst performs routine risk analyst duties as a 1st or 2nd line of defense function for the bank under direct supervision. This Risk Analyst will assist more experienced analysts in the coordination of internal and external parties to conduct financial reporting, controls, policy and procedure documentation, governance activities, and regulatory compliance. This role will also assist in improving and providing regular updates of various practices, reports, policies, and procedures within the department.
Conducts routine or non-complex identification, measurement, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting
Develops and reports independent analyses that provide greater insight into risk exposures and mitigation efforts
Enhances team processes, and updates policies and procedures to reflect improvements
Participates in the team’s preparation and involvement in regulatory examinations, which may include the annual Federal Reserve stress tests, examinations, etc.
Stays well informed of regulatory and industry practices
Solves a range of straightforward problems and analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures
Builds knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers
May assist with financial stress testing simulations
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Bachelor’s degree in a risk management or business related field OR four (4) years of risk management or related experience will substitute for degree
Skills and Competencies

Interfaces with Corporate Procurement and Legal to deliver effective contract outcomes
