Company is seeking problem solvers with a passion for aviation to serve as a full-time Technical Product Specialist for our G3000 & G5000 Integrated Flight Deck, at our world headquarters in Olathe, Kansas, a suburb of the Kansas City metro area. This position is an integral part of the product development team focusing on general aviation, business aviation, commercial aviation, military and unmanned/optionally piloted vehicles.
Essential Functions include:
Attain expert level in-depth knowledge of product operation including all configurations and variations of the G3000 & G5000 Integrated Flight Deck, and be recognized as the product expert for its operation
Proactively identify and prioritize features, roadmaps, and derivative products by soliciting input from sales and marketing, dealers, flight operations, internal and external customers, customer test pilots, industry forums, owner’s groups, regulatory agencies, academia, and competitive analysis
Write system concept, design, and description documentation to support creation of features and products
Support Change Control Boards and represent the voice of the customer and help set priorities and scheduling
Evaluate and test new products and features during development including concept evaluations, bench testing, flight simulation testing, and supporting flight testing and certification efforts
Review technical publications and training program and work with product support to improve where needed
Support Sales and Marketing efforts including advertising campaigns, trade shows, and online social media promotions
Support Customer visits and reviews
Participate in the development and execution of human factors evaluations
Represent the pilot by working with the software development team to ensure ideal solutions are developed and deployed
Pilot’s license, preferably with instrument and commercial ratings Demonstrated advanced working knowledge of aviation industry and avionics
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Aviation Sciences, or Human Factors from a four-year college or university OR an equivalent combination of education and experience with outstanding academics
Knowledge of industry standards, guidance materials, and regulations
Corporate jet, commercial airline, military, and/or unmanned air vehicle experience
Experience with competitor integrated flight decks and flight management systems
Experience with integrated flight decks through flying, flight test engineering, flight simulators
Advanced knowledge of Company Aviation products, especially Company Integrated Flight Decks
Demonstration of passion, critical problem solving, and ability to influence and inspire others
