Responsibilities
Technical Managers will be responsible for all aspects of maintaining and ensuring the on-air reliability for Company’s on-air channel streams.
Job Duties
Manage and drive reliability within a fast-paced, multichannel on-air operations environment and maintain 99.999% on-air availability and reliability for all channels.
Approve and maintain awareness of all maintenance procedures within the operations center.
Lead a team of staff and contract employees in the execution of all master control functions including commercial integration, manipulations and edits to the on-air playlists, and live-event workflows.
Facilitate day-of-air issue resolution across multiple departments (including Sales, Traffic, Programming, Promotions, News, and Production).
Serve as the point of contact to business functional leaders in coordinating daily schedules and broadcast operating conditions for live events.
Manage the end-to-end execution of all live events including preparation, in-event execution, and off-air adjustments.
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS in a related field
5 years of experience in a master control environment
5 years of experience leading the execution of live television events.
3 years of experience performing TOC duties and demonstrating knowledge of satellite tunings and transmission systems.
3 years of experience in a leadership role in a fast-paced environment requiring troubleshooting and processing skills and exhibiting an ability to effectively lead, prioritize and adapt to changing scenarios.
A track record of meeting or exceeding performance expectations.
Thorough understanding of television production, broadcast operations, and news/sports/entertainment technical production requirements.
