The key responsibilities of the role include:
Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time) responsible for the day-to-day management of the Alternative Investments team. Organizes the work of the team, assigns tasks, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work.
Possesses the leadership and organizational skills required to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff. Conducts performance management and career development processes, and staffing and disciplinary actions. Provides input and support to budget management process.
Responsible for supervising a process within the Alternative Investments group, including the assistance in monthly one on ones and performance management process.
Identify error or risk prone areas & build robust controls to mitigate; deliver a work product that requires less revision.
Regularly reviews process documentation assuring that changes are documented on a timely basis.
Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact.
May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management.
Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees.

The successful candidate will benefit from having:
College or University degree and/or some relevant work experience is required.
Experience in Capital Markets with exposure to Hedge funds/ Private Equity/ Valuation Reporting/ Reconciliations/ Accounting would be an added advantage.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
Analytical and problem solving skills are required.
Understanding of Risk, Audit and Compliance functions.
Leadership and organizational skills are needed to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff.
