Provide sales tax related compliance risk analysis, research and support in order to submit accurate and timely tax data for filing of returns for the Company Equipment Finance business line. Responsible for monitoring and resolution of aged and outstanding items in the Sales Tax ledger accounts. Analyze, develop and maintain tax strategies, including internal audit functions, to minimize potential tax liability. Assists with system testing, implementing changes/efficiencies and keeping procedures up to date. Research, monitor and interpret tax laws for multiple tax jurisdictions. Executes tax processes and ensures compliance with all applicable sales and use tax related laws and regulations. Respond effectively and efficiently to all internal employees, and tax jurisdictions upon request. Research claims of tax exempt status and verify appropriate documentation is on file. Perform various assignments and projects as assigned by the Sales Tax Managers as well as other duties assigned by management.
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Three to four years of experience in financial accounting activities
Well-developed accounting, tax accounting, mathematical, and analytical skills
Proven ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data
Thorough knowledge of government and regulatory laws and regulations
Thorough knowledge in financial analysis, forecasting, and planning
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience.
