Sedona AG Services is partnering with a global swine genetic company in their search for a Swine Nutritionist to ensure best genetic potential by making nutritional recommendations. The Swine Nutritionist will oversee feeding programs, feed manufacturing processes, and research to make sure that nutritional needs are met so that pigs achieve peak performance. As well as consult on overall best practices.
Job Description: Swine Nutritionist
-Evaluate customer nutrition programs and make recommendation to improve performance and cost of production
-Develop programs to assist customers in the monitoring of feed/diet consistency and quality, feed manufacturing, feed budget compliance, and ingredient acquisition
-Assist in the development of new animal husbandry practices and improve existing practices across all phases of production
-Oversee the implementation and standardization of all recommendations and assist in troubleshooting
-Measure and report out on progress of customers
-Present best practices recommendations to customers and industry leaders with in a business or conference setting
Qualification: Swine Nutritionist
-Minimum of a Master Degree in Monogastric nutrition
-3-5 years of experience working in swine production and nutrition
-Ability to formulate swine diets
-Thorough understanding of swine production practices, packer buying programs and corresponding economics in various system designs
-Familiarity with contemporary record keeping systems
-Analytical capabilities to find root causes of production metrics and apply interventions
