As a member of the Benefits Administration team, the Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the team they support to ensure client satisfaction, while following and promoting best practices and processes. Additional responsibilities include training organization and delivery for new team members, managing effective client communications, providing coaching and counseling to team members and delivering feedback on performance and development of individual team members. The Supervisor will also serve as an integral part in supporting the Team Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude, but are not limited, to the following:
Demonstrate and apply understanding of various roles and responsibilities within the client team, such as but not limited to the Project Manager, Technical Analyst and Benefit Analyst functions; Establish and cultivate relationships with clients by assisting with resolution of client issues and managing client expectations.
Support ongoing supervision and implementation of client work by following and promoting standardized procedures.
Maintain project management responsibilities for an average of one client.
Represent Trion at a strategic level in client and internal meetings to meet client goals;
Advise Team Manager of resource gaps and assist to identify proper allocations and positions.
Partner with Team Manager and Human Resources to monitor and assist staff as needed with work progress (direction on daily activities, assignments, workload reallocation, etc.) in a timely manner.
Participate, in coordination with Human Resources, in the selection process of new hires and support on-boarding, continuous training, development and mentoring of all team members.
Review and approve scheduled time off to ensure proper staffing levels are met.
Provide feedback to, address, coach, correct and properly document performance related achievements, continued progress, issues and deficiencies.
Mentor team members and present developmental opportunities for growth.
Assist with completion of annual reviews.

Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience preferred;
Minimum of 3 years experience in a third party benefits administration, supervisory, or client services environment required;
Minimum of 2 years experience leading others (directly or indirectly) while working collaboratively across departments and client teams;
Proven experience in project management of technical and administrative tasks throughout the complete client implementation and maintenance cycles;
Previous proven experience supervising clients and/or direct reports preferred;
Experience with supervisory responsibilities, such as, but not limited to talent selection process, new hire training, employee scheduling management, and performance reviews and goal setting processes preferred;
Experience working through an open enrollment or annual renewal benefits cycle preferred;
Experience within a Health and Welfare consulting, benefits brokerage, human resources consulting, health care, or employee benefits related industry is highly preferred;
Related exposure to Benefits Administration, COBRA, Spending Accounts, HRIS, and/or Payroll environments is highly preferred.
