Student Services Advisor I
Advise online and on-ground graduate and undergraduate students on the requirements of the program. Evaluate unusual student circumstances, gather relevant information, and propose solutions. Support program’s course scheduling, data collection and analysis, and budgetary income and expense.
The position will be located at the Company City Center.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Seek training in university software, processes, and policies, maintain currency of training, and serve as source of expertise for the program team.
Create and maintain student records in databases. Analyze student data, design reports, and propose and execute strategic plans to manage student populations. Track student registration, progress toward degree, and eligibility for graduation.
Participate in budget analysis and tuition projections as they relate to student management.
Compose communications to individual students, groups, and strategic partners, using email, social media messages, reports, guides, recorded advising modules, and live advising sessions both in person and online.
Collaborate with other university offices to resolve issues of petitions, financial aid, grades, fees, etc.
Collaborate with faculty regarding student progress, grades, texts and assignments, course scheduling, and teaching resources. Ensure that online students are associated with the correct courses in the online learning system.
Design and execute student events both in person and online, with some evening and weekend requirements.
Maintain currency on university policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to registration, course and degree requirements, graduation requirements, petitions and other student services.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
