The Company International Academy is seeking a Student Programs Advisorto assist in the organization and delivery of student programs and activities aimed at enhancing the quality of student life. The successful candidate will be customer-service and teamwork oriented, a strong communicator, and open to learning.
Demonstrated experience in area of residential life. Experience with residence halls and university apartment style living and familiarity with an urban setting.
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work with close attention to detail.
Willingness to ensure a quality experience.
Demonstrated experience working with a diverse community of student, staff and faculty.
Strong ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize appropriately.
Strong track record of delivering consistent and excellent customer service.
Experience using Microsoft Excel to track data and perform quantitative analysis.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
Manages the day-to-day operations of the Company International Academy residential housing community: places residents into appropriate housing units, emails residents housing confirmations, explains contracts and orients new residents at housing move-in meetings, explains process/cleaning expectations to residents for move-out, purchases welcome kits, conducts room inspections prior to move-in and move-out, resolves conflicts among residents, runs weekly housing occupancy reports, manages up to 2 Cultural/Resident Advisors, manages contracts with on and off campus residential apartment complexes, manages all documents related to housing/residents, works with Cultural/Resident Advisors on providing community building programming including budget for funds, adjudicates violations of Company International Academy Housing contracts and works with on-campus entities as needed.
Manages all student compliance with Title IX and Engemann Student Health Center by sending reports, providing information during orientation and organizing make-up workshops/sessions.
Works with appropriate on-campus departments and assisting students with crisis prevention and management.
Interfaces with students, staff and faculty to exchange and update information and/or enlist support for student programs.
Works closely with the Admissions, Recruitment and Marketing teams.
Provides leadership, guidance and supervision to student workers, volunteers and/or graduate assistants, and provides program-focused training to support staff.
Completes required administrative paperwork and maintains accurate records.
Participates in the development and implementation of program policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
