Position Description: Strategic Marketing Manager- Marine and Offshore
We are seeking a dynamic marketing leader to develop, jointly with the Marine and Offshore business leaders, global marketing strategies and lead their implementation to ensure the profitable growth of the Marine and Offshore market sector. It is essential to understand the customer needs and to define products and services that meet these needs better than our competitors in the industry.
What will be expected from you?
Interacts with Director of Marketing and Communications, Business Development and P&L leaders to promote Company Group solutions to the global maritime market.
Actively contribute to the creation of global marketing plans for the sector.
Perform market research and analysis and VOC to gain valuable insights with regards to market and technology trends, customer needs and competition (landscape, offerings and capabilities).
Identify and target attractive market opportunities and customer segments through compelling value propositions and effective business models to deliver them.
Develop sound business cases for product innovation and then launch plans to ensure successful commercialization of new products in the market.
Effectively communicate marketing strategy and influence others to translate strategy into actions.
Define clear communication plan for the sector ensuring global alignment.
Liaise with the regional operations and business development teams to support the creation and execution of actionable regional growth plans aligned with the global plan.
Develop customer opportunities in target markets that can deliver initial sales results within the short to medium term. Balance strategic goals with tactical sales.
Prioritize opportunities to ensure business resources focused on key target markets.
Work closely with the digital marketing and strategic communications teams to set KPIs, ensure tactical marketing plans are executed effectively and marketing ROI is managed appropriately.
What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?
Position requires a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or business degree. MBA or advanced degree in any business or economics discipline (i.e., advertising, finance, or marketing) is a plus.
With 7+ years of professional experience in strategic marketing management. Experience in business to business industrial sector a must with experience in marine and offshore a plus.
Energetic and intuitive marketing strategist with exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Proven ability to identify opportunities and deliver effective strategies to generate results.
Strong knowledge of marketing processes and tools.
Able to engage and interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders and customers, with influencing and facilitation skills.
Understand complex business organization and possess financial acumen.
Solution and results oriented approach with a team player attitude.
Strong track record in implementing and executing marketing strategies.
