Job Description
The Staff Accountant will analyze, record, verify, consolidate and enter transactions, as well as presenting financial results through various internal reports.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare journal entries and participate in related monthly accounting activities to ensure timely general ledger close, and ensure transactions are recorded, documented and supported in accordance with company policies, US GAAP and SOX controls.
- Complete month-end closings for international entities and foreign currency ledgers including transfer pricing and intercompany accounting.
- Ensure accuracy of the month-end closing and validity of the amounts for each international business unit.
- Identify/investigate discrepancies and provide management with recommended solutions.
- Research and respond to information requests from management and our internal / external auditors involving specific general ledger accounts.
- Review, analyze, and interpret international account activities, including account fluctuations. Provide findings and recommendations to management.
- Complete schedules for year-end audit and provide assistance to our internal / external auditors, as needed.
- Accurate and timely preparation and delivery of all regular and ad hoc management reports
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of commonly used accounting concepts, practices and procedures and 2-3 years of related experience
- CPA license preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Knowledge of Oracle accounting software preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
