We are seeking a Sr UX Visual Designer to join the Corporate Digital Technology team. In this role, you will help create useful and desirable web and mobile experiences for Company’s external and internal web presence. As a Sr UX Visual Designer, you will lead and contribute to multiple user experience engagements as well as work on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple specialized business domains.
Understand how to apply Company Brand style guides and how to extend them appropriately into digital channels.
Communicate designs via wireframes, prototypes, guidelines, specifications, presentations and discussions, including detailed instructions for typography, spacing, color and UI behaviors.
Participate in the creation, growth and use of a design system used across Company web sites.
Design product or service behavior that creates business value for customers and Company, while meeting user needs and expressing product and corporate brand values.
Successfully executes across multiple small to medium projects in a cross-functional environment.
Lead and influence business-wide discussions relative to current user experience projects and the future direction of design and user experience.
Builds consensus among those within a group or groups.
Research, evaluate and share recommendations for the application of emerging design, technology, industry, regulatory and market trends.
Demonstrate awareness of the software development process and how UX and UI designers can best support development efforts.
Bachelor’s Degree in Interaction, Graphic, or Industrial Design preferred or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) or equivalent with at least 10 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
A minimum 6 years of professional experience in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, CS or a related field.

Must be willing to work out of an office located in Van Buren Township, MI or Alpharetta, GA
Leverages typography, color, layout, composition and materiality to create visual interface designs that clearly and effectively express product capabilities and behaviors, as well as business and product brand values.
Explores approaches to the overall aesthetic of a product, with regard to brand and experience values and underlying product capability and behavior.
Creates visual design specifications and documentation that provide detailed instructions for developers regarding typography, spacing, color and other aspects of a product’s user interface.
Explains and defends design decisions to other members of the project team including developers, product managers, marketers and other designers.
Skilled in standard visual and user experience design tools (Adobe CC, Axure, Sketch), hand drawing and visual communication.
Demonstrates knowledge of business products, key processes, suppliers, customers and market/competitors. Understands the competitive landscape, regulatory marketing, etc.
Creates artifacts to facilitate shared understanding of business benefit for stakeholders.
Understands key principles of design thinking, what it is and why it is important, and how technology can be used in the process to explore possibilities. Explores all ideas, regardless of their source.
Has experience with and a firm understanding of design systems and how they are established and sustained in a diverse enterprise environment.
Continuously measures deliverables of self and team against scheduled commitments. Effectively balances different, competing objectives.
Synthesizes information presented and can advise on next steps.
Goes beyond merely presenting functional information, explains the story of the rationale and benefit of their ideas. Uses relevant and appropriate presentation techniques.
Creates meaningful stories and two-way communications that drive behavior.
Uses an understanding of people (users, customers, partners, colleagues, leaders) as a primary motivation for design ideas. Demonstrates the ability to extract and communicate how customer groups are thinking and feeling.
