At The Walt Company Studios, you’ll help bring compelling stories to life through film, music and live entertainment.
The Premier Production Services team is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of studio production systems and data networking infrastructure. The team supports the daily operations of media, live show productions and broadcast of products through various distribution channels. The team also engages in gathering new system/network operational requirements, assemble plans for completing and implementing a design, document and execute on that plan in order to meet the ever changing technology requirements of studio environment.
The team members are required to have knowledge of media production work flows, keep abreast of new technologies and methodologies that aid in the productivity and reliability of the content production workflows and have excellent technical and interpersonal skills and the commitment to supporting Company values and the success.
Provides end user workplace support including incident resolutions, asset management, patch/upgrade management, software installations/troubleshooting and general Q&A across PC, Mac, Smartphones, Tablets, and Peripherals.
Manages and supports network infrastructure services for multiple locations.
Partners with other technology teams across the organization and also with external IT partners to function as technical liaison to carry out implementation and resolution.
Organizes and executes office moves and asset reallocations
Performs OS imaging tasks and maintains standards for all platforms for studios
Performs preventative maintenance on all systems and equipment in order to ensure optimum performance.
Application deployment / management including Creative Cloud
After hour / weekend support as needed.
Facilitates and PMs any production technology projects including but not limited to streaming network infrastructure implementation, wireless radio infrastructure implementation, server maintenance and upgrade, voice upgrade/support.
Participates in planning for the system infrastructure, participates in evaluating new technologies, in researching network and system configurations for future implementation.
Engages with clients to establish the requirements/needs, design & present the solution and propose/execute the procurement/install/commission/test/train plan.
Performs user administrations – Works with Eastham/Company HR/CRM to ensure the timely deployment and provisioning of user accounts and assets
Performs O365 service administration tasks for Production Collaboration / Email service which includes:
◦ oUser account / Email account provisioning
◦ oSharepoint administration
◦ oAuthentication / Security Management
◦ oAudit / Reports
Performs user management tasks for internal production network.
Oversees provision of access to internal streaming services. Performs account administration tasks of user account creation and scheduling as well as onsite service request for streaming as needed.
Works with the leadership to execute Asset Management / Procurement across the board for Company production groups
Manages and implements Network services for production workflows.
Responds to system/network outages, malfunctions and related technical problems and conduct diagnostic testing, and participate or collaborate with other teams in identifying/resolving the problems.
Minimum 7 years of experience as Desktop Engineer including image creation/build, OS installation/troubleshooting, and application packaging
Entertainment industry experience is helpful
Skills / Specialized Knowledge/Competencies
Experience with Windows OSs, and various versions of Microsoft Office including latest.
Image build and deployment experience
Application packaging techniques
Emphasis on sharing of knowledge through good communications, peer training, and written documentation
Ability to work independently without intensive oversight
Must be a go-getter and take initiative on a regular basis finding ways to avoid problems proactively rather than just fixing them after the fact
Initiative and ability to research problems independently and find root causes
Positive customer service and team attitude
Focused on quality, organized, committed to continual improvement
Discipline to adhere to formal system lifecycle methodology
PowerShell or other scripting languages
Competency using Casper/SCCM or similar technologies preferred
Licenses / Training
Apple Certified, MCSE, ITIL
Applicable coursework preferred.
BS or BA degree, required.
