Position: Sr. Software Engineer
Job Duties: Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions. Contribute to the design, architecture and implementation of Company’s next generation Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software product. Focus on User Experience (UX)/User Interface (UI) development. Design, develop, implement, and maintain high-quality code for software enhancements and new products. Work with customers and partners during Alpha/Beta phases to identify and resolve product defects. Produce clean, maintainable, well-documented code in adherence with internal standards. Participate in the release engineering processes. Maintain the installation system for the team’s products. Maintain the licensing system for the team’s products. Communicate and collaborate with other teams in the organization to coordinate releases, licensing and installation.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.
Special Requirements: Following skills must have been gained through experience as specified:
1) At least seven years of experience in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) / Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software;
2) At least seven years of experience in programming languages including C++, Python and Javascript;
3) At least seven years of experience in User Experience (UX) / User Interface (UI) programming;
4) Developer tools including Visual Studio, Xcode, Jira, and Perforce;
5) At least two years of experience in Qt application framework;
6) At least seven years of experience in Microsoft Foundation Class (MFC) Library and C++ Standard Template Library (STL);
7) OpenGL/graphics;
8) At least two years of experience in cross-platform development including Windows, Macintosh and Linux;
9) At least one year of experience in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and cloud; and
10) At least one year of experience in Windows Installer.
