The AWS Training and Certification (T&C) organization educates customers, partners, and AWS Employees globally on AWS products, solutions, and best practices. As a result of exponential growth, we’re seeking a talented Operations Sr Program Manager to join the growing, fast-paced AMER T&C Operations team.
In this role you will design and implement the operations strategy that will enable the Americas’ team to successfully meet the increasing demand for instructor-led training.
The key responsibilities of the position include:
Build a demand forecast model for instructor-led training by class and region;
Elaborate a capacity plan that defines the optimal number of instructors per region, considering demand for classes, seasonality, and travel requirements;
Create metrics to effectively measure instructors’ utilization;
Propose and coordinate programs to increase efficiency while minimizing instructor’s travel time;
Design the short and long-term strategy for instructor-led training delivery, determining the right mix of direct delivery, free-lancers, and partners.
Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Statistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, Transportation, Operations Research or other Operations disciplines;
Experience in statistical modelling and optimization;
5+ years of industry experience in the operations, general management or engineering fields.
2+ years of experience in service operations;
Strong analytical skills including SQL, advanced Excel and Tableau, having the ability to pull data, and use to identify and solve ambiguous problems;
Demonstrable problem-solving, mathematics and analytical skills using data to drive decisions in a business environment;
Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results;
Superior professional writing and communication skills.
