This position manages the production and manufacture of of selected 1/C, 4/C, novelty and special sales projects for HMH Books for Young Readers. This position will also manage the conversion of approximately 1/3 of the fixed layout e-books. Responsibilities include monitoring all phases of prepress and manufacturing schedules with both internal and external business partners; maintains schedules in title management systems; routes proofs and information to appropriate departments; reviews color proofs for text and all components; evaluates and monitors costs; works closely with designers and editors to develop final, cost-effective specifications; and works with print and e-book vendors to manage schedules and quality control.
This position requires someone with strong manufacturing background who can manage a large and varied volume of work, communicate clearly with all business partners and must be able to work independently.
