With our explosive growth, new transportation offerings and continued regional expansion, the Transportation organization is seeking a specialized Program Manager to join its technology and product team. The role will assist with the support the design of best in class financial products enabling the sustainable growth of the Company Transportation Network. This is an exciting, challenging and highly visible role, working cross-functionally and across a multitude of business units and work streams. The role requires the candidate to have solid business and technology acumen to be able to work with multiple program and business teams to quickly understand their new offerings and extrapolate its potential implications across the financial systems. Further the role will liaise with finance organizations (accounting, tax, business finance) to ensure a solid understanding of any regulatory or financial implication these program may have, define product requirements and convert these requirements into global product features.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in program management and the ability to communicate and influence a large range of stakeholders including senior management, product development, accounting and business teams. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of driving multiple initiatives simultaneously and is customer-focused, with a desire to solve complex, technical problems that impact customers. The candidate needs to be able to easily understand business processes, supporting information technologies, and finance / accounting / tax concepts.
Working closely with key global stakeholders and multiple internal business teams to identify opportunities and problem areas, and convert them to scalable and extensible platform functions
Working cross-functionally to understand and address upstream, downstream and lateral implication of a new business/program launch on financial transactions
Understanding the prioritized requirements and initial set of capabilities deeply to onboard new businesses onto financial systems platform and enabling end to end financial automation.
Working with product managers and platform owners across the org to continuously refine the financial systems platform to be state of the art
Collaborating with business owners and key stakeholders consisting of Company Businesses, Tax, Accounting, Treasury, Finance Operations, and technical teams to define, refine and document product requirements.
Benchmark current state KPIs to identify product enhancement opportunities and utilize data to not only evaluate new initiatives but also understand scope, impact and priority of these projects.
Diving deep into complex problems in order to analyze root causes and implement simple, long term global solutions
Identifying and communicating areas of regulatory and accounting risk in new business offering’s project scope with respect to current technological system.
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Accounting, Tax, Engineering, or relevant work equivalent of successfully managing and delivering highly technical products
6+ years of project / program management or equivalent experience in Financial systems integration
Exposure in two out of three i.e. Accounting, Tax or IT where you have demonstrated Company’s leadership principles.
Agile product development experience
Significant/meaningful exposure or aptitude with ERP, SQL, or/and multi system integrations.
Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal skills, and an ability to effectively communicate upwards and with both business and technical teams.
High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
Experience in many of the following disciplines is desired: accounting month end close, Tax processes, automation and solution design, external and internal audit, SOX, controls and reconciliation process improvement, or the ideal candidate will have experience at Company or similarly complex, diverse, dynamic global organization in the following:
MBA or a Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related fields
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and motivate teams towards a common goal
Concrete experience leading complex digital products applications through multiple lifecycles.
Experience in the Financial Domain or Transportation Domain
Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
Experience with developing specifications for software that work at web scale
Exhibits excellent judgment
Has relentlessly high standards
Strong verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations in a matrix team environment
