Operations teams support, evangelize, and improve our games. As part of Blizzard operations, human resources (HR) supports our employees and business units on a global scale. We provide guidance on the usual variety of HR topics, but our also group extends to include internal communications, talent & organizational development, internal mobility, global rewards, wellness, talent acquisition, philanthropy, and of course some of the most talented and creative HR business partners around, all dedicated to fostering the best work experience possible for our fellow employees.
Our team is currently looking for a talented Sr. Manager HR to serve as a strategic business partner to our Company website technology team. The team is home to ~300 super-powered, crazy-smart Engineers, Program Managers and Designers working on databases, servers, applications and everything in between. They come together to host a full-feature online game service that will deliver the ultimate social and competitive experience for Company gamers everywhere. Designed specifically around Blizzard titles, Company website will include a complete set of around-the-game features, including a state-of-the-art matchmaking system, achievement system, social networking features, structured competitive play options, a marketplace, and much more.
Responsibilities
• Serve as a talent partner to the Company website team by helping create a supportive and innovative HR programs to suit the team’s initiatives.
• Manage, and facilitate the delivery of consistently exceptional HR services in the areas of on-boarding, employee communications, organizational development, training, performance management, employee relations, benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, compliance and coaching
• Understand the business and the team’s capabilities in a deep way to enable more customized and actionable recommendations and decisions
• Participate in leadership meetings with the Company website team to help drive and accomplish team goals through better people decisions and programs
• Monitor the organization’s culture to ensure alignment with our core values
• Provide coaching to management and employees to resolve conflicts, enhance team effectiveness, and ensure support of organization changes and business plans.
• Implement human resources policies and ensure compliance with legal regulations.
• Coordinate performance reviews, merit increases, performance and bonus plans.
• Help to maintain and grow the presence and effectiveness of human resources.
• Help drive succession planning and individual development plans with team leaders.
• Responsible for supporting the team’s employee opinion survey efforts by helping create and drive the action plans.
• As needed, complete administrative tasks for the team.
Requirements
• Advanced knowledge of best practices in HRBP role, closely partnering with business leaders, driving collaboration and implementing change projects
• Proven track record in enabling and driving organizational change and performance excellence
• Substantial experience in a process or functional leadership role
• Basic knowledge of relevant industry issues
• A minimum of 10 years’ direct work experience with 2+ years of management experience
