The Alexa Privacy team is building products and mechanisms to earn and maintain customer trust globally. We are the team chartered to safeguard customers’ expectations on trust and privacy across the Alexa experiences.
The Alexa Privacy Team is looking for a seasoned product leader to help build features and mechanisms to understand key customer insights on privacy related matters; partner to define and influence the product road map and prioritization of Privacy features and most importantly develop a robust plan to help ally customers concerns on Privacy, both real and perceived.
As a Sr. Manager, Product Management you’ll partner with teams across the Alexa organization to develop new metrics and programs to better define and measure our customer’s trust index with regards to Alexa devices. You will build bench marking programs and customer studies to understand and prioritize key customer Privacy concerns and use this to influence product features and product road maps across Alexa devices and experiences.
In this role, you will be expected to hire and manage a team of Business Analysts, Product managers and Program Managers. You and your team will own key initiatives for Privacy perception long-term product vision, feature definition, metric reporting, and customer experiences. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment with fast delivery time, rapid iteration, and data-driven decision-making. The right candidate will bring a good mix of experience with product management skill set, people development, and a roll-up-your-sleeves, entrepreneurial approach.

This leader will need to exhibit excellent judgment, prioritizing between existing versus new customers and between features, architectural improvements, and operational excellence. We are looking for strong business owners who are comfortable sharing their vision with senior leadership, but also working closely with engineering teams to dive deep into details to make ideas into reality.
10+ years work experience in Product Development or Technology organizations
7+ years of Product Management experience in highly analytical environment
3+ years of people management experience, with success developing strong performers and experience coaching and growing team members
3+ years of experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders and demonstrated ability to successfully influence stakeholders without formal authority, leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
Knowledge of Privacy challenges, industry compliance standards and bench-marking processes and additional advantage.
Understanding of psychology with knowledge of trust levers/driving trust
Demonstrated skills in developing product road-maps & functions, specifications, launching new products, conducting customer research, and facilitating user testing.
Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing technology concepts, experience evaluating trade-offs and new opportunities with technical team members
Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems independently with an extreme attention to detail
Strong writing skills; ability to articulate a product vision in a written document
Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-complexity projects
Strong verbal communication and presentation skills; sufficient poise to successfully interact with all levels of an organization, cross-functional partners, and customers.
Passion for technology, curiosity to dive deep into Company’s suite of technical products and commitment to learning and expanding technical knowledge
MBA or relevant graduate degree
