The Company Design content strategy team is looking for an experienced and effective content strategist to partner with the Photoshop design team. You’ll be the first UX content strategist on one of the most iconic pieces of software built.
What you’ll be working on
Company Photoshop is at a pivotal point. Last year, we launched Photoshop on iPad, effectively creating a Photoshop ecosystem across devices and contexts.
You’ll embed with the Photoshop
design team, working with designers, researchers, product managers, engineers and more.
You’ll bring clarity, consistency, and quality to the way we design for our users across Photoshop product experiences — from desktop to tablet.
You’ll develop strategies and standards on how Photoshop uses language, and how it works with other creative apps in the Creative Cloud ecosystem.
You’ll work with our dedicated, tight-knit UX content strategy team to help us standardize the way we standardize our interface language (and if that sounds like a fun challenge, let’s talk).
What you’ll bring to the team
As the key owner of language experiences in the Photoshop suite of apps, you’ll be a citizen of two worlds: a subject matter expert of all things Photoshop, and a practitioner for clear, responsible messaging and terminology. Your dual nature will make you the perfect ambassador between our centralized content strategy practice, and Photoshop, a creative tooling powerhouse.
A proven track record for developing a content strategy, and tactically writing and designing toward that strategy
Experience leading content efforts on a team within a large, diverse organization
The ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects at a time
Outstanding writing and communication skills, and a sharp attention to detail
Ability to present and sell your ideas, create coalition, and build support
4+ years of experience in information architecture, content strategy, and/or UX writing
Experience crafting and governing content standards, terminology, and UX writing efforts at a software company
Experience with, and a point of view on, creative tooling and how artists, photographers, and illustrators use software to bring their vision to life
Has experience and interest in working on narrow, deep UX efforts in a product that can go both wide and deep within an ecosystem
How to apply
To be considered for this role, please submit your resume and portfolio. In your portfolio, we’d like to see a strong writing foundation, and examples of systems-thinking approaches to design. Anything that shows experience engaging with a similar kind of software design team would be a big plus.
