Manage the execution of various projects to support the on-going THD Benefits Strategy and Delivery.
As a Sr. Benefits Analyst you will contribute to a wide variety of complex projects involving design, financials, delivery, ongoing management and communication of Company's health care benefits programs. You will specifically support the Company Benefits team in the ongoing day to day management of Company's health care programs by doing the following:
Manage the day to day operations of the health plans that Company contracts with to deliver health care benefits coverage and services to Company's associates and their families.
Ensure Company's benefits coverage intent is met consistently via external vendors' benefits administration and that excellent service is delivered to all members across multiple external vendors
Coordinate and manage communications internally and with external consultants regarding changes or recommendations coming from external vendors or governing bodies
Design, distribute and evaluate responses to surveys and formal RFPs
Analyze and compare potential niche solutions for targeted populations, their services and contracts and present recommendations to internal leadership
Measure ongoing performance of Company's health care programs (utilization and cost metrics, service and administrative metrics)
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
15% Identify, drive and participate in benefits strategy development and determining ROI for potential plan changes
20% Manage various projects end-to-end from development & documentation to implementation
5% Conduct competitive analyses as needed
5% Produce presentations for leadership team
10% Acts as a steward for the strategic vision, accountable for the integration of program/project work
5% Develop in-depth knowledge of THD business and develop a close working relationship with strategic business partners
15% Leverage trend data and knowledge of past experiences to identify opportunities to improve existing practices and generate practical solutions
5% Engage colleagues by asking thought-provoking questions; maintaining an open-minded attitude to generate possible solutions
10% Under direction, manage vendor performance on an continuous basis
10% Provide guidance to Benefits Administrator on escalated participant issues, eligibility, reporting, and bill payment
NATURE AND SCOPE
Typically reports to Director Planning
No direct responsibility for supervising others.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience:3 years
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Strong computer software skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HRIS
