Company is seeking 2 strong individuals for Sr Analyst - Fleet Strategy within our Technical Operations Department. The Sr Analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth data analysis to support the long term planning for fleet related strategic projects. The role involves working collaboratively with Network Planning, Operations Performance, FP&A, Fleet Management, Fleet Transactions, Maintenance Planning, Maintenance Programs, and Engineering to build a holistic fleet plan to align with the corporate growth strategy.
In this role, the Sr Analysts will perform one of the following functions, among other job duties as directed:
Analysis & forecasting the airline’s maintenance footprint over multiple years & scenarios to communicate an understanding of key drivers that drive both maintenance and operational benefit to revenue and cost.
A successful candidate will bring knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following
◦ Knowledge of line & base maintenance – manpower, demand and capacity forecasting & analysis
◦ Knowledge of airline operations – base schedules, aircraft swaps & lines of maintenance
Analysis & forecasting cost of ownership costs and the impact on both leased and owned aircraft as well as understanding key financial milestones and the impact those have on book value and market conditions as they relate to aircraft retirements, lease renewals or lease returns.
A successful candidate will bring knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following:
◦ Data mining & modeling resulting in dashboard development & visualizations for decision making
◦ Financial modeling – specific to capital assets that are both owned and leased
◦ Modeling/forecasting financial targets such as depreciation, net book value, market value
Leads projects to understand and improve the TechOps position and drivers with a primary focus on the analysis, recommendations and execution of fleet related strategic projects.
Develop business cases related to core strategic issues across the business.
Identifies strategic opportunities to maximize aircraft utilization and profitability with a focus on the impact of the maintenance program, check package planning and changes in the airlines operating footprint.
Collaborates on fleet optimization initiatives including business plan development, aircraft acquisitions and retirement forecasting, network development, or check packaging evolution.
Develop and maintain relationships with constituent teams including Maintenance Planning, Production Planning, FP&A, Fleet Transactions, Labor Relations, Network Planning, and Operations Performance in the distillation of TechOps inputs into actionable, effective plans as well as building consensus across departments.
Prepares in-depth cause and effect analysis on various complex network/operational issues, develop competitive industry analyses, and high level financial metrics.
Presents results and makes recommendations to all levels of leadership regarding future fleet plans, maintenance capacity & footprint, and station level adjustments.
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
Bachelor's degree required.
Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline (preferred). Concentration in aviation related studies (preferred).
3+ years Analytical experience required, Internships and college project experience may apply.
2+ years of Maintenance Programs, QA/Regulatory/Program Compliance or Maintenance Planning (preferred).
2+ years of Network and/or Operations experience with a focus on solving complex network, capacity and operating decisions (preferred).
Financial modeling experience a plus (preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable with ambiguity.
Must be able to manage projects and followup through completion.
Respects and embraces differing points of view and the ability to integrate new opinions and ideas.
Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to structure and solve difficult problems with minimal supervision with a bias toward action.
Must be able to work successfully in a team environment; Builds close rapport and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills
Communicates to share knowledge and findings. Presents results in a manner that constituent groups can understand, ensuring sound interpretation, appropriate detail and usability.
Monitors industry trends including key fleet metrics and value capture targets to develop insights that support the broader TechOps strategy.
Excellent analytical skills in the visualization and interpretation of data for reporting; Intermediate knowledge of Tableau, Quick Base or other forms of visualization software is required.
Conceptual and practical understandings of relational and non-relational databases; Ability to query different types of data sets; Intermediate knowledge of Alteryx, PL/SQL and/or MySQL required; Basic knowledge of R or Python a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point); Advanced Excel skills with experience in using formulas, pivot tables and charting/visualization to organize information, detect patterns and conduct high level analysis.
Experience with data mining/modeling forecasting skills (SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, MS Access, etc.) (preferred)
Must be able to travel (up to 10%) as needed
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.

Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.
