The Senior Oracle Informatica Developer will be part of the Formulary and Benefits team responsible for designing developing and deploying business intelligence and data warehouse projects.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains company database[s]. Identifies data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams and documents the process. Writes codes for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures. At least 8-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Will provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to the DB Development Technical Manager.
Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
Significant knowledge of PL/ SQL including tuning, triggers, and stored procedures
Prepare and package scripts and code across development, test and QA environments
Participate in change control planning for production deployments
Desire to learn new skills and improve existing ones
Strong analytical skills
Team building skills and exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills
Create and review Oracle based detail design documents that will be followed by the Java and Oracle developers to screens, build mappings and objects.
Communicate with source and consumer environment stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between various environments during design, development, testing and deployment phases.
Review and analyze functional requirements and mapping documents.
Perform data analysis on the Enterprise data warehouse to understand potential data issues and quality concerns.
Develop and unit test UNIX shell scripts for file validation as well as format the input or output data as part of Pre-ETL or Post-ETL tasks.
Develop and unit test Data Load Auditing Rules for Quality Control.
Validate the data in the target tables once it has been loaded based on the mapping logic.
Debug mappings and identify errors and error rows so that they can be corrected and re-loaded into a target system.
Conduct performance tuning of Informatica Mappings and Database SQLs.
Contribute to the review of test plans and test cases to ensure all requirements are covered and the documents are thorough.
Work with team leads and business analysts to provide support and contribution in preparing critical User Acceptance scenarios.
Assist in deploying and migrating project artifacts within the production environment, serve as the subject matter expert for systems in production, and help to ensure a stable, robust production environment.
Maintain and monitor jobs and programs in production as well as provide issue resolution for any production failures. Assist and provide guidance to resolve system-related issues.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related technical field.
Will accept one year of service for every year of college not attained in addition to required years of experience.
