Responsibilities
SUMMARY: Perform time studies and/or coordinate (acquire temporary staff, develop schedule, inform operations and oversee) the collection of time study data, make observations and form opinions regarding issues identified, their cause and possible solutions.
College students in an Industrial Engineering path or candidates with experience are highly desired.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Through time studies, observations, and data analysis, gathers data to form opinions regarding issues identified, their cause and possible solutions.
Perform analysis aimed at improving operations, determining hourly labor requirements and developing planning standards. In addition, assist with analyses that are smaller subcomponents of larger more complex projects.
Provide input into the design for simple studies (and under the direction of the supervisor); plan study schedule, meet and train hourly data collectors (when applicable) and ensure that data is being collected properly. Based on study observations, provide input to aid in troubleshooting and problem solving. Manage the data input and organization of time study data collected.
Develop ad hoc queries and reporting needed for others/users to track and monitor operating performance. Update and maintain existing databases and spreadsheet tables.
Gather and manipulate large quantities of data into a format necessary for analysis.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
COMPLEXITY OF WORK: Semi-routine; majority of work covered by established procedures; detailed understanding of work unit.
RELATIONSHIPS OUTSIDE WORK UNIT: Exchange of information which occasionally requires tact and/or diplomacy.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Works with team members ranging from front-line employees through upper management throughout the organization. Business Development supports all UO departments and client interaction and trust are key components to building these relationships
SCOPE: The scope of this position encompasses a variety of business units, processes, team members and inventory support. Business Development supports all departments throughout UO, therefore scope can include Operations, Revenue Operations, Entertainment, Technical Services, Administration, Citywalk, Sales and Marketing, IT, and support of similar projects for USH when applicable.
Primary responsibilities will include time studies, observations, inventory control, data reporting and analysis, and forming opinions and offering recommendations to improving processes, allocating resources, planning and executing budgets.
Qualifications/Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities (KSAs) required (examples: knowledge of specific aspects of an industry, technical knowledge and/or skills, communication skills, analytical skills, problem solving ability, multi-tasking ability…)

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret spread sheets. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

EDUCATION: High school degree or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 1-3 Years: Operations Experience is required. 3-5 Years: Operations and/or technical/ analytical experience is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ON-THE-JOB TRAINING: 2-3 days of hands on experience collecting and inputting study data along with an experienced team member.
