What This Position is All About:
Reporting into the Director, Omni Project Management, this individual will own overall development and management of project plans for weekly site content and email, as well as custom content, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution. You will own overall development and management of omni-channel project plans for all Saks promotions (public sales, SaksFirst events, targeted / personalized marketing), and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution. Marketing channels include but are not limited to direct mail, newspaper, signage, email, site content, display, social (paid & organic) and affiliate.
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree required
2+ years of relevant experience (agency operations experience a plus)
Resourceful self-starter and solution-seeker who demonstrates a high level of initiative and intellectual curiosity
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build great working relationships with cross-functional teams and business partners
Proven ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and responsibilities concurrently
Open-minded and fast learner who responds enthusiastically to change and opportunity, and can adapt quickly to shifting priorities and changing business needs
Owner-operator who takes full responsibility of projects and tasks and can be relied upon to meet deadlines
Team player who doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves to ensure flawless execution
Exceptional organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
Solid understanding of customer needs and willingness to always place the customer first (both internal and external)
Knowledge of digital media project workflow, processes, and best practices
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, GSuite, collaboration tools, workflow management tools
Familiarity with Adobe creative applications and Wrike is a plus
Understanding of web development and site validation processes
Familiarity with web technologies and content management systems
As the Specialist, Project Management, You will
Create and maintain project schedules for all assets from brief through final asset delivery, and communicate any changes as they arise
Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., price management, IT, promotions) to gather requirements, manage schedule and coordinate go-live activities for promotional events
Ensure briefs are completed correctly and adequately before commencement of work, and work with teams to gather required information if missing
Initiate and lead standing and ad hoc meetings needed for alignment and execution, which includes creating and communicating agendas beforehand as well as recapping notes and next steps afterward
Actively monitor project status and proactively communicate and address any challenges that put a project at risk
Resolve obstacles and manage change requests as they arise, working with cross-functional colleagues to adjust timelines, project scope and/or resources as needed
Ensure stakeholder feedback is actioned on a timely basis and that final deliverables meet project requirements
Conduct project retrospectives with teams as needed
Proactively recommend and advocate for solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of processes
Communicate any process changes, tool updates, training and timing for implementation as required
