The diversity of our operations has recently created an opportunity for a new Specialist, PLM Systems in our New York offices.
The PLM System Specialist will be the point person for all FlexPLM related optimizations, projects, trainings, and business processes. This is including, but not limited to: system demos, documentation, project organization, and conducting training. The role will work with business managers and Super users to document optimizations and modifications for future phases and assist in the business requirements documentation, testing, and roll out of all FlexPLM and/or related systems.
This position will collaborate with Product Development/Engineering teams, Brand Managers and Designers within our New York, Milan and Hong Kong offices to support their daily activities and operations using the systems at Company.
The role is reporting into the Business Process Improvement department under Product Development and Sourcing Operations.
Create the documentation for all Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) for system enhancements
Support the troubleshooting and research of user issues and challenges in daily system functions
Manage the maintenance of documentation for Global Business Process Definitions and process flows related to FlexPLM and/or related systems
Participate in system testing for production approval
Support Global Super User Community across apparel development stakeholders - increasing adoption
Provide recommendations of system project priorities based on seasonal milestones and user feedback
Drive the development and facilitation of all training materials for PLM and/or related systems
Lead and facilitate projects within the department, collaborating with global and local partners
Lead the collaboration with teams in Milan and Hong Kong offices to ensure consistent process and training roll out platforms
Act as the key liaison with IT teams in the development of FlexPLM optimizations
Skills & Requirements
Preferred Experience & Technical Proficiencies:
Degree in General Business, Operations, Fashion Retail, Product Development, Project Management preferred
1-2 years project management experience with IT as a key stakeholder
Microsoft Office high proficiency required, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
PTC’s FlexPLM experience preferred
Project Management experience is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
Ability to think critically
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
Strong collaboration and influencing skills - ability to work with creative and technical teams
Desire to work with systems and a solid understanding of the user community
