The Finance Department's Digital & Transformation Office(DTO) is in charge of the Finance project portfolio and leads business transformation projects and change management. They are dedicated to defining its vision and supporting its transformation. DFIN/DTO partners with IT departments in systems projects by defining business requirements and overseeing the implementation to improve operational efficiency and improve control environment. DTO also leads various digital transformation initiatives for the Finance department and plays a key role as a control tower supporting the senior management of the Finance department. As part of global team, DFIN/DTO in Americas team (covering U.S., Canada, and Brazil) manages project portfolio with following competencies: Accounting, Financial & Regulatory Reporting Liquidity (Stress Testing, Model Documentation, Control, Policies and Procedures) Data Management (Data Quality Assessment and Remediation) Digital Transformation (Robotic Automation, Business Intelligence, Machine Learning, etc.) Business Development Support and Change Management Target Operating Model
Our team is seeking to add a Solutions Analyst(Rapid Applicaiton Developer) with primary responsibility in desktop solution development and Finance digital transformation. Primary tasks include but are not limited to:
Identify process improvement opportunities and apply with technologies available
Lead automation of end user process by developing solutions in Python, VBA, SQL,
Document the process and solutions implemented
Conduct formal testing and organize UAT sessions with users
As part of DTO team, contribute and lead digital transformation initiatives (RPA, Self BI, Machine Learning, NLG, etc.)
Maintain and update process improvement project portfolios within DFIN and provide status to head of DTO
Ability to break down complex problems into simple manageable units, develops solutions, and integrates them back into the whole. Can absorb ideas quickly and apply pragmatically.
Ability to adjust to new environments and challenges. Work effectively in varied situations and function in changing circumstances with a minimum of confusion or loss of productivity.
Ability to set goals and priorities that maximize the use of resources available to consistently deliver quality results.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently on multiple projects with aggressive deadlines
Professional experience developing in Python, Excel/VBA, and SQL Server
Good understanding of system process flow (trade capture, Back Office system, GL, etc.)
Knowledge in financial products – fixed income, equity
Experience in process improvement analysis and business process reengineering.
Good understanding of control process and ability to build the control process
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong Excel, Powerpoint skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to make a presentation
Project management skills (planning, budget and resource management, issue handling) and reporting skills
Understanding of Accounting (GL), broker-dealer regulatory reporting
Digital transformation project experience (RPA, Self BI, Machine Learning)
Minimum of 5 years of experience within Financial Services
Prior experience in financial and regulatory reporting process, downstream system flows
International banking experience. Systems knowledge.
Education / Professional Designation
Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, or Quantitative fields
Desired/ Plus:MBA, PMP, CFA, CPA
