Position
We are currently seeking highly motivated and technical software students to join our Software Quality Assurance team. Our agile teams are highly motivated product development teams that produce fantastic software products. If you want to experience “life in the POD” and have some skills or experience in agile, programming languages, SQL or XML, knowledge or interest in advanced tools including code coverage tools and test automation tools, more standard corporate tools like defect tracking, agile project management and test case management tools you could be part of the team. Our work involves different areas of a very complex global IT system, very high quality is necessary to ensure ongoing business success.
This internship also has a Professional Development focus where you'll have an opportunity to participate in Panel Discussions (Leadership & Former Interns), learn more about our broader organization by being exposed to "Day in the Life of" job overviews, and engage in all-intern social events.
Responsibilities:
• Perform SQA tasks as part of an agile development team by communicating frequently and clearly with team members on product issues and performing testing to products with high quality.
• Test software releases against requirements or stories utilizing appropriate testing techniques including both manual and automated. Utilize advanced techniques including code coverage tools to ensure quality.
• Create, edit and update test plans and test cases ensuring use of appropriate test methodology, complete test coverage and full test documentation for all code to be tested. Create trace matrices and/or flow graphs to support test plan and test cases.
• Document testing in appropriate test case management systems (VersionOne or Quality Center)
• Document and escalate defects per standard processes utilizing Clearquest, VersionOne or Quality Center as appropriate.
• Implement manually developed testing scenarios in an automated testing keyword framework.
• Participate in requirements and design review meetings, actively representing SQA.
• Other duties as assigned by SQA managers or leads.

Qualifications
• Completion of at least Sophomore level coursework (Junior level strongly preferred) leading towards a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or Engineering (Electrical, Industrial, Computer) or other closely related technology fields
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (Java preferred)
• Strong and demonstrated interest in breaking things (software testing is all about breaking something someone else put together)
• Strong Written and Verbal skills to communicate with clarity and brevity to other professionals, including software developers, program management, product management, business analysts, etc.
