TheSoftware Engineer IIprovides engineering, architecture & quality guidance to developers, artists, leaders and creators at EA while supporting the quality engineering team as a whole to help architect and build robust tools that ensure we deliver leading games and services to our players around the world. The Technology and Standards Certification team operate and partner within QE, like a startup: exploring, tinkering and building innovative tools that can scale across the EA ecosystem.
In a nutshell:
The Software Engineer II will extract and assess data to help architect and build tools using .NET and JAVA technologies that allow and optimize test automation across our systems, tools, and applications. This person will have a strong ability to plan, implement, and deploy tools, with an advanced technical exposure to Cloud and Big Data.
Does this Describe You?
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software engineering or equivalent.
• Has a minimum of 5 years of technical industry experience working on tools, test automation and development process improvements.
• Advanced technical experience programming with .NET and Java (though the more programming languages the better!)
• Confidence and comfort navigating large datasets, utilizing technologies such as Azure, ElasticPath, AWS, and SQL.
• Exposure, experience and curiosity with various cloud technologies and platforms.
• Knowledge of software lifecycle, modern testing methods and solid understanding of continuous integration.
• Excellent communication skills – you know how to win over your stakeholders and present your ideas and progress with charisma, detail and effectiveness!
