Program Overview
The Company Center Cooperative Internship Program (Co-Op) is a six-month internship program based in the greater Philadelphia area. The program is designed to identify high-caliber talent to build our organization with the best and the brightest students who come from a variety of sourcing channels, including on-campus career fairs, partner organizations, and direct applications. In this role you will immerse yourself into the Company culture, working side by side with innovative and talented Comcasters. You will cultivate meaningful relationships and develop strong interpersonal and business skills that will set you apart from your peers.
As part of the Company Co-Op program, you will work on a crossorganizational project with your peers throughout the duration of your six-month experience. Projects selected for our Co-Ops impact the business in a tangible way, while providing you with an opportunity to develop new technical and leadership skills. You will be given the opportunity to work in teams, problem solve, innovate and present your ideas to senior leaders, while being coached and mentored by Company employees. This collaborative project will give you exposure and experience beyond your assigned role.
Additionally, your experience will include:

Role Overview
This position is responsible for supporting tasks related to incident and problem management as well as incident communication tools and reports in use by Ops Support team. Co-op will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software for tools supported by Ops Support team. Individual will be responsible for developing web-based applications on both the client and server side, enhancing existing tools/reports as requested by stakeholders, and integrating existing tools/reports with other OSS (Operational Support System). Individual will also be responsible for development, enhancement, and maintenance of local databases.
Position is expected to be working across organizational and team boundaries to collect requirements to design software encompassing video, voice, and data technologies
Responsibilities:
• Conduct FCC RCAs for non-automated incidents. Support automation of repetitive and similar incidents
• Develop tools/reports and web-based applications on both the client and server side for internal systems
• Full lifecycle application development, using technologies and languages such as Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, MySQL, .NET, C#, ASPX, and Python
• Create, document, and implement unit tests and scripts
• Maintain all related documentation on SharePoint/Wiki/JIRA etc. as appropriate
• Assess current applications and develop plans for improving business process
• Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications/Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university that has a 6 month Cooperative learning track (Sophomores, Pre-Juniors & Juniors preferred).
• Major: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems
• Minimum 2.8 GPA.
• Coding skills in Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, .Net, C#, ASPX, Python
• Experience with Relational Database Management Systems: MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL
• Understanding of reading and developing database schema diagrams
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems and underlying applications/configurations
• Excellent oral/written communication skills giving individual the ability to gather requirements and adapt to changing requirements effectively
• Ability to write clear documentation for all code and processes
• Proven analytical, problem solving and organizational ability
• A self-starter, demonstrating personal initiative and willingly assumes responsibility
• Able to work both independently and on teams
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interest in the telecommunications, cable and media industries.

Job Summary:
Responsible for providing routine clerical support for functional

distributing mail, performing simple calculations, and maintaining
records and files. Follows standard procedures for all assigned work.
