Shared Services Operations Specialist II, Senior Specialist
This candidate will be responsible for daily production Workflow. Be a Data Stewardship/Data Quality SME and have strong Project representation skills. Also responsible to Maintain and ensure compliance with Dept. procedures & overall Bank Policies
Perform Quality Control of Customer information for both new onboardings and maintenance requests
Use external sources like Lexis Nexis, DnB and Avention to research customer information
Proactively recognize and manage risk.
Daily Production Workflow
Manage multiple simultaneous requests in a high pressure environment including on-boarding new customers, performing modifications and updates
Strictly verify accuracy of information provided in the workflow request by representing the first line of defense for all customer information prior to being sent for KYC review and risk reporting
Present complex issues in simple and straightforward manner to internal clients
Department Helpdesk—Act as subject matter expert on Department’s system and procedures by understanding the complete end-to-end life cycle of a bank customer
Manage the consolidation of customers to ensure bank exposures are denoted accurately
Contribute ideas to improve and streamline the on-boarding process.
Work with business users & technology through project requirements, design and analysis phase to ensure coverage and quality for Customer data
Participate in system testing as required, developing and maintaining test scripts and coordinating testing activities
Provide support for existing department reports for daily, weekly and monthly processes
Create and maintain ad-hoc reports on customer data for various departments in the bank
Maintain and ensure compliance with Dept. procedures & overall bank policies
Maintain data accuracy by reconciling data comparison reports
Investigate and resolve inaccuracies between applications relating to customer credit ratings
Documents procedures as well as offer and implement suggestions to enhance accuracy and efficiency of the processes
Conduct system training to business users
Participation in all department’s daily tasks as dictated by workload and staffing levels
Administrative assistance as needed
Office supply ordering, filing, record maintenance, etc.
At least 2 years client on-boarding experience in a financial institution with products (i.e. derivatives, securitization, syndication) and operations (Front or Middle Office) knowledge
Solid knowledge of KYC/AML policy
Solid understanding of business activities, compliance / risk issues
Rigorous and motivated by regulatory aspects
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English
Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
Strong time management, prioritization, work organization and multi-tasking skills
Effective Internet and research skills
Proficiency in MS Office - Word, Access and Excel and end user tools such as Business Objects
Inquisitive, tenacious and investigative
Second language is a plus (Spanish/Portuguese/Japanese)
