The Defense Group within Company has an executive opening for aSenior Vice President, Logistics & Mission Support Operation
Job Description :
This role is responsible for leading a global team of 2,100 employees with $700 million in revenue overseeing and executing Logistics & Mission Support Services programs. This operation’s diverse business base includes sustainment and engineering support, operational support, logistics operations and information technology, and complex system engineering programs. Additionally, the operation serves as the enabling/augmenting force for pursuits and programs across Company with high logistics content. Customers include but are not limited to all military branches and defense agencies. The role also includes providing strategic leadership for Company’ $1 billion logistics portfolio at a global level including operations in the United Kingdom.
The senior vice president (SVP) will report directly to the Defense group president. The successful candidate will work with teams across the divisions, operation, group and corporate levels to ensure all policies and procedures for financial management, program and IRaD reporting, people management, and new business capture are accomplished successfully. As a leader of leaders, the position will provide guidance to division managers and program/project managers to ensure organizational, technical, managerial and business development goals and values are met. In addition, this role will provide oversight of large, complex programs and interface with customers and end users to ensure world class customer satisfaction. The SVP will be responsible for hiring, developing and retaining diverse and highly skilled technical staff to accomplish organizational goals.
Scope of responsibility includes:
Financial Management- Forecast and meet annual operating plan financial targets
Program Execution – Program and project oversight and implementation of processes and Quality Management Systems to achieve flawless execution and customer satisfaction
Business Development – Business Strategy and pipeline development, customer relationship management, capture and proposal leadership, intra and inter-group collaboration, IR&D development and execution and B&P investments consistent with the operation’s overall business strategy to achieve top and bottom line growth objectives
People Management – Sound, ethical, and inclusive leadership with a commitment to developing, engaging, recruiting and retaining a diverse and high-performing team
Candidate must have extensive practical experience supporting government customers in multiple disciplines from engineering services to technical solution delivery programs
Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 15 years of relevant and successful experience in business and financial management, program management, engineering and business development with increasingly complex operations assignments
Candidate must have P&L experience with direct financial management responsibility >$150 million annually
Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding financial goals, revenue and profit growth, and market expansion with the ability to engage new customers and present technical solutions to complex problems
Experience supporting a variety of customers, managing complex projects, and building and managing a diverse technical team
Experience qualifying capturing, and closing new business
Experience managing enduring programs/programs of record requiring development of ISR solutions and application of earned value management
Demonstrated understanding of the processes and tools necessary to target and capture future work, along with demonstrated results.
Experience identifying potential partners, developing teaming agreements and working with other operation/group/corporate team members to develop a total integrated and differentiated business solution.
Experience leveraging IRaD to develop technology discriminators and strategy for business growth.
Prior experience running a significant portfolio of Defense programs in both Solutions (Products) and Services environments (Domestic & International) comprised of multiple contract types (CPFF, FPIF, FFP, T&M, Commercial, etc.)
Ability to travel up to 30%
Candidate must possess an active DoD Top Secret security clearance
Master’s Degree in a technical field
Familiarity with financial, program, and contract management approaches, processes and tools (Workday, Fusion, SalesForce, CostPoint, SharePoint etc.)
Direct financial management responsibility >$250 million/annually
Experience managing financial, technical, and reputational risk for worldwide logistics operations and employees deployed in high risk OCONUS locations
