Assists with analyzing complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
As part of a software project implementation team, provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user needs. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business specifications. Designs details of automated systems. May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Prefer 8 years relevant experience and BA/BS degree.

Senior Data Cloud Taxonomist
We are looking for a smart, passionate person to join Company’s Data Cloud taxonomy team. The ideal candidate will enjoy digging into large systems with complex business logic, using the knowledge they gain and their keen attention to detail to build, evolve, and maintain taxonomies that operate at web scale.
At the heart of Company Data Cloud’s Marketplace and Data Management Platform (DMP) products sits the taxonomy team, a group of information professionals who work with internal and external clients to build custom taxonomies that support digital marketing use cases.
Our mission is to make data easy for customers to find, understand, use, and buy. We do this with taxonomies that capture anonymous web behavior, plus a full spectrum of offline demographic, purchase, and interest attributes. These taxonomies are the foundation upon which our platform’s audience targeting, discovery, and analytics products are built.
Consult with internal and external stakeholders to develop custom taxonomies and audience products that support business goals while remaining faithful to underlying data structures
Curate rules that aggregate data from hundreds of providers for classification into the Company Data Cloud Marketplace
Use data analysis/evaluation metrics to identify new audience categories and/or refactor underperforming audience products
Collaborate with peer Product, Program Managers, Go-To-Market, and Product Marketing teams to ensure coherent product strategies.
Collaborate with DMP client service to provide customer-specific solutions and support
Identify and troubleshoot data quality problems with internal reports and browser-based validation tools like Developer Tools
Conduct trainings, deliver presentations, and lead meetings with clients and partners
Stay closely connected to the market with frequent client interactions, partner call participation, industry events and publications
Create successful, data-driven taxonomies and Audience Products, which fuel our market growth, revenue & profit generation.
Required Qualifications >>>
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years professional experience
Experience with data classification, taxonomy building, and/or metadata schemas
Meticulous attention to detail, a results-oriented mentality, and a figure-it-out-and-get-it-done attitude
Experience working cross-functionally with client support, business development, software engineering, and sales teams, as well external clients
Ability to exercise good judgment while operating independently in ambiguous circumstances and driving multiple projects to completion
Ability to master new tools and systems quickly, and to respond nimbly when conditions and priorities change
Initiate and execute projects to improve internal tools, processes, documentation, and data quality
Travel to client sites and other offices up to 10% of the time
Comfortable speaking in public and communicating complex content to C-level executives, marketers, developers, engineers, analysts, and ad agencies
Desired Qualifications >>>
Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or Linguistics, or equivalent professional experience
Proficiency in SQL and/or Python
Knowledge of online tag managers and DSP’s
AdTech, digital marketing, and/or analytics experience a plus
Knowledge of tech, media and telco industry a plus
Knowledge of BI analysis and tools a plus
