Position:
Under the shared supervision of the LVA Retail Training Director and Regional Vice President, the Senior Regional Training Manager will plan, implement, and manage a structured training and development program for the respective region, which meets the needs of the business and team development. Through follow up and coaching, the Senior Regional Training Manager will ensure Retail Training Managers, Store, and Team Managers leadership skills are developed by means of their competencies, and store associates are trained on the needed skills to successfully perform their jobs to attain service excellence through an elevated customer experience and enhanced brand sophistication.
Preparation and Facilitation:
Prepare, plan, and implement a structured regional training and development program aligned with LVA training strategy as well as region-specific initiatives.
Ensure the full execution of the LVA Retail Training strategy within the region.
Organize and/or facilitate in-store Induction/ On-Boarding (within 30 days of hire) to all new staff, partnering with Retail Trainers and subject matter experts in the region or store to ensure delivery of the correct message.
Organize attendance to corporate SA and/or New Manager Induction (within first 90 days of hire) in collaboration with Regional HR Manager, and Area Directors.
Plan and facilitate regional SA Induction to support the region while maintaining training department budget guidelines.
Work closely with corporate training team to learn and facilitate training modules created by Central which support business objectives.
Follow up and Coaching:
Bridge the gap between facilitation and applied learning by proactively observing selling behavior with Retail Training Managers and Store Management teams, providing them the assistance needed to learn and master Company coaching skills.
Provide ongoing coaching to Retail Training Managers and store management teams designed to support the improvement of competencies, attitudes, and behaviors of all team members.
Support region in creation and implementation of action plans needed to achieve store customer satisfaction goals. Use the training catalog, coaching, and TTT to managers as needed.
Supply the proper support to all managers, to ensure learning and execution of group role plays and debriefs as a daily activity to support the customer experience.
Arrange and lead quarterly conference calls with Area Directors, Retail Training Managers, and Retail Training Director, to review scheduling roll out, identification of participants, follow up tools, tailored training tools, modules for specific events, etc.
Share weekly report of activities with LVA Retail Training Director to ensure proper messaging and execution of learning is achieved.
Ensure timely and detailed feedback is provided to corporate training team related to all learning modules with qualitative insights on facilitation, content of the module and reaction from the participants.
Participate in Retail Training team monthly conference calls and bi-annual meetings to acquire new skills, share best practices and updates.
Support region and store-specific initiatives and pilots as needed.
Organize administrative responsibilities and ensure budget guidelines are met.
Track and measure the impact of training as possible.
Team Development:
Provide directly the full cycle of training (preparation/facilitation/follow up/coaching) to specific group of stores whose training will be managed exclusively by the Senior Regional Training Manager.
Develop an ongoing training and development plan for each Retail Trainer with specific attention to growing leadership, coaching, and facilitation skills.
Set annual goals, coach and monitor performance, and provide bi-annual MPP evaluation/ feedback for all direct reports.
Profile: The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in a high-end, luxury retail environment with a proven track record of developing direct reports and building effective teams.
Bachelor’s Degree
Manager-level experience in High- End Fashion/ Luxury Goods Industry
Proven track record with people development
Ability to train managers to inspire employees to excellence as well as deal effectively with underperformance
Possess excellent listening and observation skills
Proven track record in building client relationships
Must possess a passion for elevated service and the client experience
Knowledge of retail business (preferably high-end luxury goods)
Ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely in a variety of settings, adjusting the message to match the audience level and size
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Computer Skills (PowerPoint, MS Office)
Ability to deal with different levels of the organization comfortably
Builds appropriate rapport and effective relationships
