Responsibilities
The Senior Producer is responsible for overseeing the team behind the programming of daily and evergreen digital video across all CNBC digital platforms (desktop, mobile, OTT). The Senior Producer is also responsible for managing the team responsible for clipping and embedding daily broadcast TV content and communicating daily. Reporting to the Supervising Producer, the ideal candidate has strong communication skills, the ability to managed a fast-paced team, strong editorial judgment with a solid background in financial news and a firm understand of standard video production workflows (along with experience in shooting and editing original digital video content). The ability to write creative and compelling news headlines under pressure is a must for this position. The Senior Producer is also responsible for traffic goals tied to CNBC’s desktop and mobile video content, managing project timelines and identifying opportunities for new and creative daily video executions on all of CNBC’s video platforms. The Senior Producer may be asked to shoot and/or edit video pieces as needed. Candidates should be highly organized and experienced in working under daily deadline pressure.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Minimum 7 years of digital and/or TV broadcast newsroom experience at a major news network or digital platform a must (preferably in business and/or financial news)
• Expertise in writing compelling news headlines, scripts and social media touts
• Strong news judgment with a concentration in the field of business and financial journalism
• Proven track record of conceptualizing, developing and executing creative daily digital/social-native videos
• Ability to manage and juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to collect, process and analyze data to identify strategic opportunities based on daily, weekly and monthly results to deliver traffic goals
• Strong command in the use of web and video content management systems
• Working knowledge of various social media platforms
• Experience with production of digital and social-native video content based on specific platforms
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere video editing platform and DSLR digital cameras
• Willingness to experiment and a desire to push the envelope
• BA degree
