UPI owns and operates direct theatrical marketing and distribution of feature films in many locations around the globe including Austria, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Switzerland and UK & Eire. In other territories UPI market and distribute movies through its JV offices, as well as in select territories, licensees who are contracted to distribute on UPI's behalf.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Operations Finance Analyst to work in our Operational Finance Team for a 12 month fixed term contract.
Qualifications/Requirements
Key responsibilities:
• Management of Overhead consolidation and delivering financial reporting submissions to the Studio and other stakeholders, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Create, develop and deliver strategic plans (S1), budgets (S2), OP, and quarterly forecasts, including liaising with OpCos, HO departments, UIP & Paramount.
• Production of Overhead budget and forecasting packs and presentations.
• Communicate to Corporate Finance (LA Studio).
• Ownership of regular updates including identification of risks and opportunities, variance analysis and communication both internally and externally.
• Management of quarter close process, including review of Overhead position, accruals and pacing. Liaising with local OpCo's, HO departments, UIP and controllership.
• Regular calls and meetings with local territories and HO departments to analyse financial performance.
• Active involvement in system development requirements for Overhead forecasting and reporting.
• Reporting into the Finance Operations Director on progress and activities in project work streams.
• Active management of projects timelines, progress tracking and identification of risks.
• Engaging and communicating with key stakeholders to ensure commitment, awareness, and information sharing.
Required Skills
• Work experience post-qualification (ideally in a similar operational role).
• Ability to work in a fast, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills for dealing with varying levels of English competence and finance backgrounds.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders of all levels.
• Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach.
• Experience of managing projects is desirable.
• Highly proficient in Excel.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Committed and willingness to work long hours where required.
