MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Drive strategy, brand and product positioning across International Publishing to optimise acquisition, engagement and monetisation across all EA Franchises
Partner with all key Central Marketing Organization (CMO) partners to ensure best in class execution of our global brand strategies in markets
Be the advocate for international players in the development of our global marketing plans and business strategies. Driving the local country level player insights into the marketing planning processes.
Provide a strong, coherent voice for International Publishing on an international and global basis in all forums, including marketing alignment meetings and regular brand strategy calls.
Be the prime point of contact for the CMO Marketing teams and ensure Franchise needs are clearly understood and translated into actionable marketing plans across Europe
Key contributor to the early stages of the MCF, influencing the title strategy with international market insights.
To leverage and drive the adoption of Marketing Shared Services model (hubs)
Ensure the International Publishing Marketing function is well positioned and resourced to deliver world-class digital engagement and software as a service in partnership with CMO
Evaluate and optimize our international marketing efficiency and effectiveness
Provide leadership to four Franchise Strategy Leads and an Events Manager. Responsible for the effectiveness of our marketing execution across 30 major countries and 80 people.
This role has dual reporting to the SVP International Publishing and CMO
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Define and implement an International marketing strategy and process on an annual basis in collaboration with senior leaders and in consultation with the entire marketing team across all countries as well as GMO
Provide direction to the teams on market scope and marketing spend, incorporating media mix models and demand funnels, ensuring budget ownership/accountability at functional level.
Ensure AEM principles are adopted across International Publishing to enable flexible and adaptable activation based on science.
Define metrics in conjunction with CMO, and report against them week to week and day to day with clear insights and actions identified. Owns the deep evaluation of marketing strategies and tactics to ensure we continually improve in our approach.
Enable and encourage bold, creative decision making, the development of big ideas and experimentation across all teams; underpinned by robust data.
Partner closely with the CMO functional leads to ensure optimal alignment and execution.
Partner closely with the Commercial team to ensure they are equipped with compelling product information for commercial partners; and support sell-in negotiations through presentations and demonstrations.
Coordinate creative responses for the region to ensure all needs are met including adherence to first party qualifying criteria.
Ensure that the marketing team (franchise strategy leads, events team, country teams etc) are providing the right level of input at the right time to help facilitate excellent development and execution of our brand plans.
Provide leadership and direction to Franchise Strategy Leads. Ensures that the career development/training of all IPO marketing resources is seamlessly integrated within the CMO function.
PERSON SPECIFICATION - SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
• Must have broad experience and understanding of all facets of the marketing discipline including market research, product positioning, consumer promotions, online innovation and creative development
• Exercises a high degree of influence and ability to impact team performance of subordinates, managers, peers, outside agencies and executive management. Demonstrated capability of successfully working with senior executives.
• Proven experience directing a department of marketing professionals, preferably within the entertainment, online, and/or games industry.
• Used to working within a fast paced environment. Self-motivated, passionate leader who can work at a high clock speed.
• Experience working on cutting edge, leading brands that have strong consumer awareness and interest.
• Strategic leader and thinker with ability to create exciting, break through marketing plans.
• Creative and resourceful thinking with ability to make decisions and organize thoughts.
