Successful candidates for the Senior Director, Global Services Risk Management position will:
• Have a solid grasp of all professional services business functions, including sales, project/program management, risk management, and consulting services operations.
• Be able to build a new function from the ground up.
• Build a collaborative business relationship with business leaders and various internal operational teams.
• Be intellectually curious and passionate about business drivers and issues, new processes, products, systems and technologies
• Be comfortable making controversial decisions under high pressure situations, with the ability to communicate sound rationale for deal objections in a poised, diplomatic and effective manner.
• Be agile and effectively maneuver through the various organizations, influence, engage and inspire others, and keep up with the ever-changing and growing landscape at Company.
• Embody a "can-do" spirit, a sense of optimism, ownership, and commitment, and cultivate a culture of teamwork, trust and mutual respect in a small, cohesive, high-performing, fun team environment.
• Possess excellent program and project management skills and the ability to manage multiple complex priorities in parallel.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with existing teams to create a new consulting services approval function at the COO/Vice Chairman level
• On behalf of the COO/Vice Chairman, evaluate & approve bid packages for large & complex professional services deals across all areas of commercial risk, including business terms, solution structures and cost estimates
• Help to improve current global project/program management policies & processes
• Work closely with Pricing Deal Desk, Legal, Revenue Recognition, Sales Operations and Technical Operations departments to standardize and streamline the complex deal process
Required Skills/Experience:
• Minimum BA/BS degree required
• 10+ years' experience in general professional services bid review/approval, program/project management, consulting operations, or related work
• 5+ years' experience specifically in structuring, selling and/or approving large (exceeding $2m) and complex professional services SOWs, services delivery / oversight / P&L ownership, and / or experience in negotiating contractual and commercial terms for Professional Services
• Deep understanding of Professional Services P&L management
• Understanding of Professional Services revenue recognition rules
• Strong understanding/working knowledge of consulting services for technology companies, cloud technology preferred
• Highest level of ethics, independence, and professionalism
• Strong management skills with a proven ability to successfully lead teams in both solid-line and dotted-line reporting structures
• Ability to travel up to 20%
