The Opportunity:

We require an AWS Engineer for a key role in the maintenance, creation & migration of core systems to Amazon Web Services environments in an agile working model. As a key engineering role requiring very strong technical and communications skills. The Engineer will have responsibility in the design, execution and rollout of DevOps frameworks, and tools to maintain and build new key high visibility products on Amazon Web Services, collaborating with cross project teams in an Agile environment. Very strong infrastructure and automation skills are essential.
Job Requirements Desired Experience includes:
• Configuration Management Frameworks: (one of) CHEF, OpsWorks, Salt.
• Provisioning Frameworks: (one of) Terraform, cfn-pyplates, with a thorough understanding of underlying AWS API/generated cloud formation.
• AWS architecture including: IAM, ELB, EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Cloudformation, Cloudfront, Autoscaling, EMR, Data Pipeline, Security Groups, Route53, Certified AWS architect.
• Core Unix & Network Administration across Linux environments.
• General scripting wizardry is an essential, especially Shell & Python is a must.
• WebOps experience across Linux environments including configuration and management of Apache, NgInx, JBoss, wildfire and tomcat etc.
• Experience in cloud infrastructure performance and networking security practices.
Desirable:
• Company website. in Computer Science or B.S. with equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of web application development.
• Deploying applications, supporting and Troubleshooting on AWS.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration tools (i.e. Jenkins, Team City, and Bamboo) and Source Control Management (i.e. GIT), specifically branching, tagging and merging of different code streams.
• Excellent communication skills, the drive to succeed and work independently and on a team, with the ability to multi task, and deliver quality results.
• Experience of agile development processes an advantage.
