Company is seeking a talented individual to join its Analytics team and make an immediate impact in providing insight into the direction of clients’ communications strategies. This candidate must be interested in how data can shed light on human motivation, have a zest for answering tough questions about people’s attitudes, beliefs and behaviors, and seek to understand how communications can affect them.
What you will be doing
Lead projects, such as campaign measurement and reporting, audience segmentation analyses, program amplification, and influencer analyses, among others.
Translate data across multiple sources into actionable insights to inform clients’ business objectives, and present recommendations to clients with a clear, compelling narrative.
Contribute to the development of proposals for new and existing clients.
Manage junior staff in task-based and project-based roles. This includes overseeing completion of tasks, monitoring work quality, and deadlines, and serving as a mentor.
For many client research projects, this candidate will have primary oversight with minimal supervision. As such, under the supervision of senior staff, the candidate will:
◦ Begin to direct teams and vendors;
◦ Begin to budget and scope projects;
◦ Manage and prioritize tasks under tight timelines; and
◦ Execute work with extreme attention to detail.
Collect and analyze raw data from a variety of sources including social media native platforms, traditional media data platforms, digital platforms, web analytics, in-person data collection (e.g., focus groups, interviews, etc.) or other first-party client data.
Collaborate with the wider Analytics, Research, and Digital teams to create innovative and efficient products and offerings.
Actively participate in the identification, review, and selection of tools and vendors to support insights gathering.
The experience that will contribute to your success
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and a passion for turning data into actionable insights.
Experience defining and tracking KPIs.
Extensive experience using Microsoft Excel for data entry, database management, data manipulation and tagging/coding.
Effective oral and written presentation skills.
Ability to generate and clearly communicate insights from raw data to internal stakeholders and clients.
Ability and willingness to prioritize and contribute to multiple projects.
Interest in contributing to a growing team and product set in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment.
Understanding of traditional, social and digital media.
Familiarity with qualitative research partners, such as 20/20 research, local focus group facilities, GLG, Guidepoint, etc.
Spanish and/or Chinese language proficiency.
Experience with NVIvo or Company website.
Experience with one or more of the following tools is preferred:
◦ Social Listening/Monitoring: Sysomos, Netbase, Salesforce Social Studio, Crimson Hexagon, Traackr, Brandwatch
◦ Digital Platforms: Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, YouTube Analytics, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics
◦ Paid Media: Google AdWords, DoubleClick, or other ad serving networks
Familiarity with SQL, Python preferred; familiarity with statistical tools, such as R, SPSS, SAS, is a plus.
Communications/public relations experience.
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Domo).
Education & Experience
4+ years of combined analytics/data/market research experience
BA/BS in mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, business, communication, marketing or social sciences; OR
Completed a minimum of two college or graduate-level statistics courses (one or more courses in qualitative research methodology preferred)
