The Senior Account Executive will maximize revenue to new and existing clients by selling best-in-class content from the Tribune Content Agency. This person will work with traditional and emerging media companies to educate publishing decision-makers on how TCA content will benefit and add-value to their organizations. This person will develop business relationships with a growing client base plus work with TCA and tronc colleagues on content strategy and product initiatives to close business. This person will have revenue targets that are expected to be met and surpassed. Prospecting, networking and new business development will be crucial to success.
Responsibilities:
• Understand and embrace Tribune Content Agency values, culture and quality standards and ensure that all business practices are consistent with these values and standards.
• Prospect to build mutually-beneficial relationships with traditional and non-traditional publishers to generate growing revenue streams from TCA’s content portfolio.
• Negotiate favorable terms and craft contracts.
• Effectively meet personal revenue targets and MBOS to meet overall TCA financial goals.
• Work with Sales Director to develop business strategies, seek out new clients, identify growth markets and maximize new product opportunities.
• Work with the Sales Director to offer clients integrated content programs aimed at delivering results for clients.
• Oversee client relationship, helping to coordinate among TCA marketing and operations.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving start-up environment.
• Ability and willingness to collaborate.
• Contribute to a collaborative and healthy work place with high energy and expectations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 7 years media sales experience with focus on consultative transactions
• Deep knowledge of the new and traditional publishing industry landscape
• Track record of exceeding revenue goals
• Ability to communicate and connect with senior executives
• Strong network of contacts and networking skills needed to get new business off the ground
• Hustle, drive and a start-up mentality
