The AWS Training & Certification (T&C) team is looking for an experienced candidate to drive the Go-to-Market (GTM) enablement of our Business Development and field sales teams.
As a leader on the T&C GTM Strategy & Programs team, reporting to the T&C GTM Lead, you will have the opportunity to grow and manage a team of GTM sales program and tool developers. You will be responsible for developing relevant programs, awareness initiatives, and tools that enable our field sales teams to successfully bring AWS T&C products to market.
The ideal candidate has both a sales background that enables him or her to understand and interact with senior sales leaders, as well as a deep understanding of sales team enablement and tool development. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about sales objectives, and be able to build and convey compelling recommendations for improving sales productivity. You have a natural ability to instill excitement and gain respect from the most senior leaders. You understand the intricacies of sales planning and management, and possess the ability to translate field requirements into innovative new sales mechanisms and tools that enhance productivity and delight our customers. You have a passion for diving deep into sales process and are always looking for ways to improve the status quo.
Engage with T&C Business Development leaders to identify and prioritize opportunities to enhance sales effectiveness throughout the T&C GTM process
Develop relevant programs, awareness initiatives, and new GTM tools that enable AWS field sales teams to successfully bring AWS T&C products to market
Keep a pulse on the general awareness and readiness of AWS sales teams to effectively sell T&C products
Develop, manage, and collect data for a dashboard that monitors the performance of the T&C GTM sales process – consistently identifying and implementing improvements
Manage and monitor the use of newly developed GTM sales tools, and ensure proper communication and training is available for relevant sales teams
Engage with launch planning teams across T&C and the broader AWS organization to align GTM sales capabilities with existing product and infrastructure roll-out plans
Lead and develop a team of top-tier talent
10+ years of experience in sales enablement, sales leadership, GTM strategy, or sales tool development within the software/technology/training industry
5+ years engaging and influencing senior business leaders
3+ years experience leading a team of direct reports
Bachelor's degree from a top-university
Ability to travel 10-25% as needed
Experience engaging and influencing senior business leaders, with strong familiarity in sales planning, enablement, and tool development
Demonstrated experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams, including sales account management, business development, product management, product marketing, program management, legal, and tax functions
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across organizations
Extensive experience in a sales strategy role, with a passion for finding new innovative ways to enhance sales productivity and effectiveness
Prior experience defining and developing enablement processes and tools for sales teams
Experience working within the enterprise software and/or education industry is highly desired
MBA from a top-university, or equivalent experience
