Research Distribution Manager
New York, NY
The Research Distribution/Operations department within the Investment Bank provides research distribution support both internally to employees and externally to clients. Our primary focus is to facilitate the distribution of Barclays Fixed Income and Equities research to institutional clients across a variety of internal and third party research platforms. The Research Distribution team is globally located in London, New York, Singapore and Mumbai providing global coverage to clients. The Research Operations team is involved in many research projects, business testing of our publishing and distribution systems as well as centrally managing all research employee and client entitlements across multiple research channels
Reporting to the Global Research Operations/Distribution Manager providing critical services to our global institutional clients in multiple time-zones on a wide variety of research related matters. This role requires a high level of client interaction to ensure fee-paying clients are receiving the right packages of research services and are being effectively supported on an ongoing basis. In addition, this role is key in managing the research distribution and entitlement systems that enable our global analysts to distribute research to clients, in a regulatory compliant manner, across our internal and third-party research distribution channels.
What will you be doing?
Provide client support covering the US and Asia time zone to internal and external clients, responding to incoming research distribution enquiries in a timely manner.
Lead and drive self-initiated projects as well as participating in broader team/department projects and initiatives across the Research business.
Supervise members of the Mumbai team on the Research Joiner, Mover, Leaver process and half-yearly entitlement review.
Manage internal databases to support our research publishing platforms across Fixed Income and Equities. Work collaboratively with our compliance and regulatory teams to track license rules and entity data.
Permission clients to research based on their regulatory status and eligibility to receive Barclays research (FINRA 2242, MiFID II) in accordance with existing and new compliance regulations.
Produce business requirement documentation, carry out UAT and liaise with IT and business stakeholders on new system releases.
Support the marketing effort of our research offering to clients
Update department process documentation on behalf of the Research Distribution team on a semi-annual basis to meet business and audit obligations.
What we’re looking for:
3+ years’ experience working within a Research department for an Investment Bank
Prior knowledge and understanding of Research as a business
Project management skills to lead individual projects
Supervisory and leadership experience
Strong excel and reporting skills
Strategic approach to designing and implementing solutions
Experience of using Client Relationship Management (CRM) databases
