Oversee administrative, financial, regulatory, and personnel aspects of multiple multi-site research projects. This will including working with the PIs to setup subcontract agreements and monitor regulatory approvals at subcontract sites and other domestic and international collaborating sites.
Collaborates with researchers on short and long-range plans for projects. Participates in writing research proposals. Tracks project progress, objectives and deliverables. Is responsible for monthly and annual reports required for a large number of projects with federal and industry funders. Will serve as a liaison between sponsor organization staff and study PIs and will facilitate collaborative projects with other domestic and international collaborators.
Designs and implements data gathering tools and oversees project analyses. Troubleshoots challenges with patient enrollment and data gathering at UM sites and at subcontracting sites working alongside the PIs. Assist PIs in research presentations and development of study manuscripts.
A masters degree in public health, epidemiology, or a related discipline is required. Experience with management of multiple research projects, research budgeting, and personnel management is required.
Experience with CDC and/or NIH funded projects is strongly preferred. Experience in infectious disease and population-based research is preferred. Applicants are encouraged to describe their experience with research project management in the application cover letter.
This position is term-limited for one year in duration from the time of the start of the appointment.
