Reference Data Operations is aligned to the Firm wide Data Management (FDM) Chief Data Office (CDO) which is responsible for improving the quality, integrity and reliability of the firm’s critical data. The organization’s objectives are to explain the path that critical data follows, improve data quality, reduce ambiguity and inconsistent terminology, enhance transparency, rationalize the number of replicated data assets, and improve firm wide-sharing of information and best practices. The FDM CDO serves as the governing body to create firm wide standards that drive consistent data management practices, develop technologies and processes to support data management processes, partner with lines of business and functional groups to embed data management best practices and capabilities, and ensure sustainability by refining, measuring, and improving the firm’s ability to manage data.
Reference Data Operations Instrument, Pricing & Common (IPC) Strategic Change team is seeking a Product Owner. The successful applicant will work on a varied book of work across the pricing spectrum and be ultimately accountable for the Pricing Product Backlog. They will be working with a hands on approach supporting the development and deployment of strategic firm wide pricing change. This will involve working closely with Strategic Change, Operations Change, Operations, Technology teams, representatives at varied levels from our base of current and potential as well as a wider group of stakeholders across the firm.

Key Responsibilities and Skills
Strong understanding of Pricing across exchange traded assets and the evaluated pricing of fixed income assets (Bonds, ABS, MBS, Muni’s etc.)
Understanding of Interest & Exchange Rates
Past success in leading technical and operational change in the financial services industry
Experience of working with market data vendors
Self-starter with ability to manage own workload and deliverables
Flexibility to work well both as an individual and as part of a team
Strong PC skills (JIRA & Microsoft Suite - Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Visio)
Analyzing large data sets to identify trends including querying large databases utilizing SQL related tools.
Experience of working on programs using waterfall and Agile
Ability to communicate clearly and confidently across multiple aspects of the organization at all levels
Production of agile centric metrics for management, stakeholders and sponsors
Leading/participating in sprint ceremonies
Ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams
Entrepreneurial drive to change the status quo
System level knowledge of Company or similar company
Interviewing requestors to gather/validate facts and requirements
Translating requirements documents into Agile stories
Clearly defining objectives, leading the development of an implementation plan for the technology solution, and overseeing the execution of that plan
Identifying issues and developing and communicating resolutions
Reviewing current tools used by Operations, and creating requirements to streamline processes and reporting
Ad-hoc project work as directed
Bachelor’s degree 7+ years relevant experience in technology business analysis, preferably in financial services
Experience driving Agile ceremonies independently, collaboratively and confidently.
Experience in full systems development lifecycle from project initiation, requirements definition, user acceptance testing through implementation
Experience in writing test plans, test scripts and test cases
Experience working in reference data platforms and/or with external market vendor products (e.g., BVD, Markit, etc.)
Well-organized with strong attention to detail, communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate within a team environment and interact across departments
Self-motivated, proactive, and flexible to work alone and with a team to meet targets
Strong Client and Stakeholder focus
Proven ability to work accurately and under pressure to meet deadlines
Intermediate to Advanced experience using JIRA, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
