Responsible for operating radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x rays) of the body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by Radiologist. Position Expectations and Responsibilities: Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Develop and maintain skills in McKesson RIS, Physician Portal, PCM, PMM, Kronos, PACS, PHS, Teletrak and any other clinical systems implemented related to the modalities. Monitor and ensure equipment performance to specification. Assist the supervisor in maintaining an adequate level of supplies required for patient care. Ensure that relevant exam information is captured at the time of the exam. Assist radiologists in performing exams providing clinical excellence. Serve as a resource person to patients, coworkers, radiologists, and any other customer. Expected to write routine reports and correspondence. Expected to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years from an accredited technical school.
General Radiographer license (CRT) by the State of Florida.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
