Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic and CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas of procedures. Complies with hospital and department policies and procedures. Provides patient care and/ or support activities appropriate to ages served; primarily adults ages 18-65 or geriatric patients ages over 65. May also include care for infant age 0-1 year, child ages 1-12 years or adolescent ages 13-17 years.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: registered or eligible with ARRT
Education: Graduate of approved school or Registered/Certified
Experience: Experience necessary to demonstrate competence
Special Qualifications: Working knowledge of the department and modality consistent with
Degree of Supervision Required: Capable of performing procedure criteria specific to level of
education and competence as noted for specific modality without supervision or errors
