The temporary Quality Control Specialist is responsible for screening and verfiying all incoming distribution masters for all networks to ensure Turner's technical specifications are met.
Technical evaluation of content includes assessment of file/tape formant, time code, tracking, concealment rates, vertical and horizontal blanking, bad edits, language tracks, captioning issues and overall quality of audio and video.
Will capture and verify content attribute information ensuring accuracy of the file/tape metadata by checking slate, title page and credits.
Responsible for documenting Closed Captioning and DVS properties, as well as verify languages are on correct audio tracks.
Verify that all data entered into the system is in accordance with specified data cataloging standards as well as matches the physical/electronic content's title card or slate.
Position will be responsible for researching and resolving issues that affect the overall quality of audio and video of received media and facilitate the ingestion of media.
Minimum 3 yr. experience in a Broadcast Ops or similar media environment.
Knowledge of Adobe Premiere workflow and MSC tools along with HBO legacy tools.
Knowledge of file formats - Time management & Customer Service Skills.
Experience requiring extreme attention to detail and time sensitivity.
2 year Degree in Broadcasting or an Accredited Broadcast.
Technical School Degree.
