Responsible for execution of public relations activity for TJ Maxx to achieve divisional and corporate objectives. Responsible for the execution of PR plans for specific business initiatives.
Areas of Responsibility:
Project Execution and management
Responsible for executing PR projects to support brand and business initiatives.
Manages day-to-day communications and operations of internal team and external agencies to successfully achieve project goals.
Responsible for the execution of PR programs. Programs may include media relations, social responsibility communications, cause marketing, experiential marketing, influencer relations and others as needed.
Communicates throughout the organization with divisions such as Buying, Planning, Store Operations, Marketing and Marketing Services in order to ensure the successful execution of PR programs.
Responsible for the daily operations with internal and external team in order to execute PR plans.
Responsible for supporting internal associates and external agency relationships on specific programs.
Fiscal Responsibility: Responsible for maintaining and balancing program budgets.
Execution of PR program plans for TJ Maxx
Recommendations to Management in regard to: viability of media opportunities – evaluating reward and risk of brand participation, messaging and pitches and related materials, creative plans and budgets for PR programs and PR implications of all research and analysis.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, PR, Advertising, Communications or equivalent job experience.
No less than 2-3 years of job related experience, preferably for a fashion brand, retailer or consumer products company, either client side or PR agency.
Public relations knowledge
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Measurement and analysis skills
Strong use of Microsoft Office programs – excel, PowerPoint, word
Strong fashion and trend awareness
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Superb ability to forge and foster relations.
Ability to build strong partnerships and excellent team participant
